For over a decade, Curtis “Grandyman” Granderson’s GRAND GIVING food insecurity awareness campaign in partnership with Mariano’s has raised more than $1.3M for families in the Chicagoland area. Throughout the month of November, donations made at the register or self-checkout directly benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository and Northern Illinois Food Bank, which puts food on the table for thousands.

Donations to Grand Giving are accepted year round.

The Curtis Granderson Foundation and its partners turn dollars raised from GRAND GIVING into meals served as part of the month-long campaign in November. Every dollar raised directly benefits our Food Bank partners.

About Curtis Granderson

Curtis Granderson, also known as the Grandyman, is a former MLB outfielder who’s widely considered one of the most philanthropic athletes in professional sports. The three-time MLB All-Star and Roberto Clemente Award recipient is the founder of the Curtis Granderson Foundation (est. 2007) which aids in positive youth development through education, physical fitness and nutrition initiatives.
